Nova Classica's Wedding Music Booking Process:

1. Inquire & Connect - Complete our brief form to connect with us and check our availability. Prefer to text? You can shoot a quick text to our cellist and wedding music coordinator, Abigail, at (813) 215-3625. If you'd like, you can schedule a free 30-minute phone consultation to go into further detail and discuss options. Together, we’ll explore your vision and curate songs for every meaningful moment—from the processional to the last dance.

2. Reserve Your Date - Officially secure the musicians of Nova Classica with two simple steps:

Once you have completed these steps, your booking is confirmed instantly, and your date is officially on our calendar. We are your wedding musicians!

3. Refine the Game Plan - Work directly with us via email or text as your plans evolve. We will craft your custom setlist, arrange special requests, discuss attire and setup, and ensure every detail is just right—so you’re fully prepared.

4. Wedding Day! - Arrive relaxed and excited knowing that we have taken care of all the details. Enjoy your big day!
We recommend that you book your wedding music early to guarantee our availability for your date. We are already scheduled to perform for many weddings up to two years in advance.

As Orlando’s premier pop string quartet, we honor tradition through precision-crafted artistry while reimagining modern genres—cinematic drama, soulful pop, and iconic rock—into seamless live arrangements.

Romantic Rooftop Wedding at The Balcony Orlando

Crafting Sofia and Randy’s ceremony and cocktail hour music at The Balcony Orlando honored our core purpose: transforming iconic songs into intimate moments. Their song selections for the day spanned from the early classical music of Handel to modern pop songs loved by all. As one of their special requests during the prelude, we performed "My Heart Will Go On" from the movie Titanic. As you can probably hear in the video, it was a particularly windy evening as the sun set in downtown Orlando, and the expanse of the skyline felt like the expanse of the ocean--a perfect fit for this song! (Good thing we were prepared for the wind and didn't have tons of loose sheet music flying around!)

The music for Sofia's entrance was the classic favorite, Canon in D by Pachelbel. As Sofia walked down the aisle, the music wrapped around the moment—simple, heartfelt, and full of quiet joy. From The Balcony’s rooftop, Orlando’s skyline shimmered in the evening light, the city’s glow blending with the breeze as they exchanged vows.​ For the cocktail hour, we played an almost entirely modern pop music set with highlights from artists like Ed Sheeran, Adele, and Coldplay.​ This juxtaposition of classical and modern music is what we do best. We were honored to be part of their celebration. Days like Sofia and Randy’s remind us how live strings can help transform moments into lasting memories. What a pleasure!
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
What instruments are in your string quartet?
Our signature ensemble is a standard string quartet (4 musicians), featuring two violins, viola, and cello. For more intimate settings, the quartet can be reduced to a trio (3) or duo (2). We also offer a larger custom wedding orchestra (5+ musicians).

Can you learn new songs?
Definitely. We are experts at learning new music and love to perform new songs. We want you to have all of your favorite songs played on your wedding day!

Do you offer other instruments besides strings?
Yes. We partner with Best in Brass to offer combinations of strings and other orchestral instruments. A trumpet, piano, or harp are common additions to the ensemble. Don't hesitate to ask about what's possible if you have a unique vision in mind.

Do you provide sound equipment?
Yes. All of our packages include microphones and speakers to make sure that, in addition to our music, the officiant and others speaking at your wedding are heard crystal clear by guests.​

How does your booking process work?
It starts with connecting via our inquiry form. Once you've decided on Nova Classica as your musicians, we require a signed contract and a 50% retainer to officially reserve us for your date. We will remain in touch with you and your planner up until your wedding day to perfect your vision and refine the details.​

How far in advance should we book our wedding musicians?
While we do our best to accommodate inquiries at every stage of wedding planning, earlier is better. Most wedding clients book us 8-12 months in advance, but we already have some wedding dates booked up to two years out. We recommend securing your date at least 6 months prior. Dates are reserved first-come, first-served.

How much does it cost to hire a wedding musician?
Our string ensemble packages for wedding ceremonies start from $1,700 for a quartet and $1,040 for a duo. The total fee depends on several factors, including primarily the number of musicians hired, the length of the performance, and the location.​ Contact us with the details of your event for a custom quote.​​

Can you perform for the cocktail hour after our ceremony?
Yes. We can be hired for just the wedding ceremony or for the full wedding day. Our pricing primarily reflects the number of musicians needed and the length of time we perform. You can view our wedding packages here.

Can you perform outdoors?
Absolutely. Many of the weddings we perform are outdoors. The following conditions are required for the safety of our instruments and musicians:

Shade: Direct sun is a risk to our valuable instruments - especially in Florida! Please have a covered, shaded area available for our performance.

No Performing in Rain: Due to the value of our instruments, we cannot perform in inclement weather. Please have an indoor contingency plan prepared.

Flat Surface: A safe, level, debris-free surface.

Do you travel to destinations outside of Orlando?
Yes. Travel fees may apply for events outside of Central Florida. We would love to be a part of your wedding day!
